Terms and conditions

General / scope:
All sales, deliveries and offers from Nova Hansa Chemicals Ltd. are made exclusively in accordance with the following general terms and conditions (GTC), unless otherwise agreed in writing. The customer accepts these terms and conditions by placing an order. Warning notices The products of Nova Hansa Chemicals Ltd. are not given to private individuals. They are intended exclusively for laboratory use and must not be used on humans or animals, in the home or for any other private use. Reselling the products of Nova Hansa Chemicals Ltd. to private individuals is not permitted. Nova Hansa Chemicals Ltd. is not liable for damage to property or personal injury arising from improper use, handling or storage. Offers The offers of Nova Hansa Chemicals Ltd. are subject to change. Verbal offers or agreements only apply if we have confirmed them in writing. This written form clause can only be changed in writing.

Prices, additional costs:
The catalog price valid at that time applies to every order. You can request our current prices at any time via our website by e-mail or inquire about our sales by telephone or fax. We would be happy to provide you with our offer. Our offers are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Please refer to available offers when ordering. All prices quoted are non-binding net prices and are plus VAT at the statutory rate. A flat rate for packaging and shipping is charged for each package. Depending on the danger or size of the consignment, additional costs may arise, which are indicated separately. All aforementioned costs are borne by the customer. Purity of our products: All of our products are subject to strict quality controls. All other specified physical substance data are typical values, which may differ slightly in batches.

Payment terms:
Nova Hansa Chemicals Ltd. invoices are to be paid within 30 days without deduction, unless another payment term has been agreed. A payment obligation is only considered fulfilled when the invoice amount is credited to our bank account. From the day on which the payment deadline is exceeded, we charge standard bank default interest, subject to the assertion of further claims. Minimum order value For some connections there is a minimum order value.

Delivery, transfer of risk:
All specified delivery times are non-binding. As far as it is reasonable for the customer, Nova Hansa Chemicals Ltd. reserves the right to make partial deliveries. Shipping is always at the customer's risk. The risk passes to the customer as soon as the goods leave our premises.

Complaints, warranty:
Immediately after receipt of the goods, the customer must check whether the quantity and quality correspond to the contractual agreements. Nova Hansa Chemicals Ltd. must be notified of defects within 14 days of receipt of the goods. If there is no complaint from the customer within this period, the delivery is considered accepted. Defective goods - if they have been properly rejected - will be exchanged or taken back for a refund of the purchase amount. Returns may only be made after consultation with our customer service and after a return number has been issued. Approved returns must be returned within 30 days. For these we will make a replacement delivery or issue a credit note. The following are excluded from redemption:

  • Chilled or frozen products
  • Reagents that have passed their expiration date
  • Custom synthesis
  • Products that lack individual components, labels or descriptions

Products that we send to you due to our error will be credited to you immediately.


Disclaimer of liability:
Nova Hansa Chemicals Ltd. has unlimited liability for culpable or grossly negligent damage in accordance with the statutory provisions. In the event of a slightly negligent breach of a cardinal obligation or an essential obligation, we shall be liable for the amount limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. We are not liable beyond that. Legal liability for personal injury and according to the Product Liability Act remains unaffected. Retention of title The goods remain the property of Nova Hansa Chemicals Ltd. until full payment. It may not be assigned to third parties, pledged or assigned as security. Place of jurisdiction, applicable law Bremen is agreed as the place of jurisdiction for all legal relationships between Nova Hansa Chemicals Ltd. and customers. German law applies exclusively. Should individual provisions of these terms and conditions be ineffective, the other provisions remain unaffected.
